Pumpkin spice season is upon us! Unfortunately, many of the seasonal treats from coffee chains are loaded with sugar, vegetable oils, artificial flavorings and caffeine.  Lucky for you, our Real Food Expert inside of Fiercely Empowered Mama has cooked up three incredible recipes that celebrate the flavors of fall with bonus health benefits.  Fat bombs full of brain- nourishing saturated fats and a pumpkin spice latte made with mineralizing FEMfusion?  Yes, please!

Here’s How to do Pumpkin Spice the FEM Way

Pumpkin Pie Fat Bomb Bites

These pumpkin pie bites are a delicious and nourishing way to get in those fats! 

They taste JUST like a piece of pumpkin pie! 

Ingredients

½ Cup Organic Pumpkin Pie Puree

2 Tablespoons Coconut Flour or Tapioca Starch 

½ Cup Pastured Butter OR Organic Coconut Oil, melted

¼ Cup Pure Maple Syrup or Raw Honey

1 Teaspoon Organic Cinnamon

1 Teaspoon Organic Pumpkin Pie Spice or ½ Teaspoon Ground Organic Ginger, ½ Teaspoon Ground Allspice and ¼ Teaspoon Nutmeg

Pinch Real Salt 

½ Cup Chopped Activated Pecans, optional

In a food processor, add all ingredients, except for pecans, and blend until smooth. You may also use an immersion blender with contents in a bowl and blend until smooth.

Using your favorite silicone molds, spoon mixture into the molds. You may garnish each serving with a few pecan sprinkles, if desired.

Place in the fridge or freezer for at least 4 hours before enjoying. 

If kept in the fridge, enjoy them within a week.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Fat Bomb Bites

These little bites are like tiny desserts, but full of healthy saturated fats to nourish growing nervous systems.

Ingredients:

¼ Cup Organic Cream Cheese, softened

¼ Cup Organic Pumpkin Puree

½ Cup Pastured Butter or Organic Coconut Oil, melts 

2 Tablespoons Coconut Flour or Tapioca Starch

¼ Cup Pure Maple Syrup or Raw Honey

1 Teaspoon Organic Cinnamon

1 Teaspoon Organic Pumpkin Pie Spice or ½ Teaspoon Ground Organic Ginger, ½ Teaspoon Ground Allspice and ¼ Teaspoon Nutmeg

Pinch of Real Salt

Pumpkin Spice FEMfusion Latte

This one is kid-friendly. (No caffeine) Transform your mineralizing and nourishing FEMfusion into a warming Pumpkin Spice Latte for the cooler season. This recipe can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Ingredients 

Makes 2-3 Servings

3 Cups Brewed FEMfusion Tea, strained

1 Cup Raw Milk or full fat canned Coconut Milk, for dairy-free 

(You can play around with the ratio of tea to milk. Many PSL’s are a 1:1 ratio of tea and milk. You may also omit milk and use all tea if you choose for a Pumpkin Spice Herbal Infusion without milk.) 

2 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup or Raw Honey

¼ Cup Organic Pumpkin Puree 

1 Heaping Teaspoon Organic Cinnamon 

1 Heaping Teaspoon Organic Pumpkin Pie Spice or ½ Teaspoon Ground Organic Ginger, ½ Teaspoon Ground Allspice and ¼ Teaspoon Nutmeg

Pinch of Real Salt

Pour all ingredients into a medium size saucepan. Gently simmer until warm. 

Use a frother or an immersion blender to mix all ingredients. This will offer a creamy, slightly whipped consistency.

You may double, triple or quadruple this recipe for sharing size, or to have extra waiting for you in the fridge!

Will keep for 3-4 days in the fridge.
