Carissa: From Allopathic Medicine to Natural Healing
Carissa went through an incredible transformation when she joined the world of FEM after 25 years of working as a nurse and paramedic in allopathic medicine. A second-year FEM, she has stepped into a whole new health world of what naturopathy offers.
Carissa felt called to join FEM when her son was experiencing airway problems as a baby. She stepped away from the surgery and medications and leaned into FEM. Five months later, she saw massive shifts in her children’s health. She also applied FEM principles to herself and saw a shift in adrenal communications where she was sleeping better at night and had more energy during the day. Carissa looked at her environment and made changes that were doable and affordable for her. She reduced toxins, got into cell salts, started real salt with trace minerals and saw incredible results in her family. She is the head of her healthcare team, she listens to her body and she trusts her intuition. Carissa is proof that traditional medicine and naturopathy can exist hand-in-hand.
